This refreshing and life embracing statement is also the title of the new album of Zurich based musician Sabine Fiegl. The entertaining result reflects her substantial contribution as singer, composer, lyricist and producer.

Music came into Sabine Fiegl's life 25 years ago. And with the release of TODAY'S A GOOD DAY she demonstrates that she has reached a point in her life where certain values have become more important: Her own experiences have led her to a thoughtfulness and assurance which together with humour and a joy in life are increasingly more clearly reflected in her musical work.

Just listen to the twelve songs on her new album. They are varied, unconventional and intense. And happily all remain outside a particular style category. As with her first album I WONDER, which was released in 1996, the music and lyrics for all the songs were written by Sabine Fiegl.

From a passionate pop song full of poetic images, via "Corriendo sin llegar", sung in Spanish as an homage to her gigs in Costa Rica, to the swinging jazz sketch which effortlessly transports us to a club in Manhattan...

With an accurate feeling for rhythm Sabine Fiegl describes episodes from her life. Her voice is expressive, as smooth as silk, husky if necessary, but always brilliant.

TODAY'S A GOOD DAY was recorded and produced in New York with a couple of well-known musicians. John Gentry Tennyson, pianist and producer was a driving force and immense support to Sabine Fiegl.
